How A Mail-Order Bride Began
Every story begins with a thought, a feeling, or a little spark of imagination. For me, A Mail-Order Bride began with the desire to bring two very different worlds together—a glamorous fashion industry in New York and the peaceful, hardworking life of a farmhouse in Nevada.
I wanted to write a love story that was more than just romance. I wanted to explore what happens when two people, carrying their own wounds and dreams, find themselves sharing a life they never imagined. That is how Elara and Rowan came into existence.
Elara, a talented and ambitious model, represents the courage to begin again, while Rowan, a devoted farmer, embodies quiet strength, responsibility, and the longing for companionship. Their unexpected meeting through a mail-order bride arrangement became the foundation of a story filled with love, misunderstandings, betrayal, resilience, and second chances.
As I continued writing, the characters began to feel real to me. Their emotions, struggles, and moments of happiness became a part of my own creative journey. I wanted readers to experience the warmth of the farmhouse, the excitement of Elara's fashion career, and the beautiful transformation of two hearts learning to trust each other.
A Mail-Order Bride is my first English novel, and it holds a very special place in my heart. It represents a new chapter in my journey as a writer and my willingness to explore stories beyond the language in which I first began writing.
Looking back, I realize that this novel was not simply about a woman finding love in an unexpected place. It was about discovering that sometimes, the life we never planned becomes the one we cherish the most.
And that is how Elara and Rowan's journey began—with a little imagination, a lot of heart, and the belief that love can find us when we least expect it.
