Guddloo - The Identity
Who Is Guddloo? The Story Behind My Writing Identity
Guddloo is more than a name. It is a part of my childhood, a memory of my father, and now, the identity of my writing.
When I was a baby girl, my father lovingly gave me the nickname Guddloo. It was his special way of calling me, a name that carried the warmth and affection of those early years. I grew up with it, never imagining that one day it would become something much bigger than a childhood nickname.
As my writing journey grew, so did my dreams. I began exploring different genres, creating different worlds, and discovering new ways to express myself through words. I needed a name that could bring all these creative journeys together.
I wanted something that belonged to me. Something that felt familiar, meaningful, and close to my heart.
And then I realised — what could be more personal than the name my father gave me?
That is how Guddloo became my writing identity.
Today, Guddloo represents the many sides of my creativity. It is the name behind my Urdu and English novels, my children's books, my colouring books, my cookbooks, and every new idea that finds its way onto a page.
My writing may take different forms, explore different themes, and reach different readers, but it all comes from the same place: my imagination, my experiences, and my love for creating.
Guddloo gives all of it a home.
It is not simply a label on a book cover. It is a connection between who I was as a little girl and who I am today as a writer. It carries a memory of my father while allowing me to build something of my own — a creative identity that can grow with every book I write.
And perhaps that is the most beautiful part of this journey.
A name given to me with love has now become the name under which I share my own words with the world.
So, who is Guddloo?
Welcome to Guddloo — my name, my writing, my world.
